1815. In the Roman Catholic Church Colony of Landau there is a chancelleries recording #9 on the 23rd May, 1815 of the Wedding of Johannes Dionys Berger (age not specified) and Catharina Senn (age not specified). Parents not specified.
Witnesses to this union were Christian Sampmann and Joseph Holzschuh.

The book tells the story of our ancestors early life in Goersdorf, Alsace Lorraine, France, their being forced by the Napoleanic Wars to relocate to the Rhine Palatinate in Germany, onward to the Beresan District of Odessa in Russia, their journey from there to North Dakota. From here they emigrated to Saskatchewan in Canada and finally here to England.
